Terms of Service

PredictCast Premium — monthly and annual subscriptions

Summary: These Terms govern your use of wxmap.io and the PredictCast mobile app, including paid PredictCast Premium subscriptions sold as auto-renewing monthly or annual plans through the Apple App Store (processed by Apple and RevenueCat). By creating an account, using the Service, or purchasing a subscription, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

1. Who we are

The Service is operated by wxmap.io (“wxmap,” “we,” “us”). PredictCast is our native mobile application (iOS and Android) that displays weather forecast data and model-generated probability estimates for informational purposes. wxmap.io is the data platform; PredictCast is the mobile client. We are not affiliated with Kalshi, NOAA, the National Weather Service, Apple, or Google except as described for sign-in and billing.

2. The Service — what we provide

wxmap.io and PredictCast provide:

• Weather maps, forecasts, and related informational tools;
• Kalshi market reference data and model-vs-market comparisons for research;
• Historical accuracy and scorecard views for subscribers; and
• Account features that sync between wxmap.io and PredictCast when you sign in with the same account.

The Service is a weather information tool. It does not provide financial advice, trading advice, or recommendations to buy or sell any contract. We do not execute trades on your behalf. You are solely responsible for any decisions you make on Kalshi or other platforms.

3. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction) to use the Service. You agree to provide accurate account information and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account.

One wxmap.io account may be used on the website and in PredictCast. Premium status is stored on your account record and applies across platforms when subscription verification succeeds.

4. PredictCast Premium subscriptions

4.1 Plans

PredictCast Premium is offered as auto-renewing subscriptions, typically including:

Exact prices, trial offers, and promotional terms are shown in the App Store purchase sheet at checkout and may vary by region or Apple price tier. The price displayed at purchase is the price you agree to pay for that billing period.

4.2 What Premium unlocks

While your subscription is active and linked to your wxmap.io account, Premium typically includes access to subscriber features such as:

• Full Kalshi city high-temperature forecasts and bracket views;
• Model vs market comparison tables and related analytics;
• Accuracy backtest and scorecard features where available; and
• Other markets features marked as requiring premium or “markets” access in the app.

Feature availability may change as we improve the Service. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access to any third-party data source (including Kalshi, NWS, or Open-Meteo).

4.3 Payment and billing

• Apple App Store (iOS): Payment is charged to your Apple ID account. Apple (not wxmap) processes the transaction. Subscription management, receipts, and payment method updates are handled in your Apple ID settings.
• RevenueCat: We use RevenueCat to validate App Store receipts and sync subscription status to your wxmap.io account. RevenueCat acts as our subscription infrastructure provider and processes subscription events according to their privacy practices.
• Auto-renewal: Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each monthly or annual period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period (Apple’s rules apply).
• Price changes: If the subscription price changes, Apple will notify you in accordance with App Store policies. Continued use after a price change constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.

4.4 Free trials and introductory offers

If we offer a free trial or introductory price, Apple will display the terms at purchase. When a trial ends, your subscription converts to a paid plan unless you cancel before the trial expires. Unused trial time is forfeited when you purchase a subscription where Apple’s policies so require.

4.5 Cancellation

You may cancel auto-renewal at any time:

1. Open Settings on your iPhone;
2. Tap your name → Subscriptions;
3. Select PredictCast (or the listed PredictCast Premium product); and
4. Tap Cancel Subscription.

Cancellation stops future charges. You retain Premium access until the end of the current paid period. Canceling does not delete your wxmap.io account; it only stops renewal of the App Store subscription.

4.6 Refunds

Refund requests for App Store purchases must be submitted to Apple, not wxmap, through Apple’s Report a Problem process or Apple Support. We cannot issue refunds for charges made by Apple on your Apple ID. If Apple approves a refund, Premium access may be revoked when the refund is processed.

4.7 Restore purchases

If you reinstall PredictCast or use a new device, use Restore Purchases in the app (or sign in with the same wxmap.io account used when you subscribed) so we can re-link your App Store subscription to your account.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for unlawful purposes or in violation of Kalshi’s or any third party’s terms;
• Scrape, reverse engineer, or overload our APIs beyond reasonable personal use;
• Share account credentials or resell access to subscriber features;
• Attempt to bypass paywalls, authentication, or rate limits; or
• Misrepresent our data as official NWS, Kalshi, or settlement guidance.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or threaten the Service.

6. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE AND ALL FORECASTS, MODEL OUTPUTS, MARKET PRICES, AND ACCURACY STATISTICS ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

Model probabilities are estimates. Past model accuracy does not guarantee future results. Official Kalshi contract settlement follows exchange rules and NWS (or SPC) sources—not our live forecasts or running observations.

PredictCast is not registered as a Commodity Trading Advisor with the CFTC. Nothing in the Service constitutes financial or trading advice.

7. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, wxmap AND ITS OPERATORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR TRADING OUTCOMES, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE OR ANY SUBSCRIPTION, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE OR A SUBSCRIPTION IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE SUBSCRIPTION IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR (B) FIFTY U.S. DOLLARS (US$50), EXCEPT WHERE SUCH LIMITATIONS ARE PROHIBITED BY LAW.

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless wxmap and its operators from claims arising out of your misuse of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your trading or other activities on third-party platforms.

9. Third-party services and links

The Service may link to Kalshi, App Store pages, and other third-party sites. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party content, availability, or policies. Your use of Kalshi and other platforms is governed by their terms.

10. Changes to the Service and Terms

We may modify features, pricing (through App Store price tiers), or these Terms. We will post updated Terms on this page with a revised “Last updated” date. Material changes may be communicated in the app or by email where appropriate. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance unless applicable law requires otherwise.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms or to protect the Service. Sections that by nature should survive (disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, governing law) survive termination.

12. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence apply. Any dispute shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, unless applicable law requires a different forum.
